Avye trained as an actress at Lecoq (2005-7), LAMDA (post graduate semester course 2004), and attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts summer programme.
She recently originated the role of Sally in Tom Stoppard’s Leopoldstadt, performing it in both West End runs of the play at the Wyndham’s theatre (2020 and 2021.)
Her first job in theatre was the amazing opportunity to work on Kneehigh Theatre’s Brief Encounter in the West End, as Ensemble and first cover for the leading role of Laura (a part which she performed for a number of weeks). Other roles in theatre include a nosey neighbor and narrator of Kneehigh’s A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings, and a harassed teacher in The Elephantom at the National Theatre.
Film work includes appearances in The Fifth Estate, The Mercy and British Arrows award-winning short film Snowflake.
